What services do you offer for weddings;

You can book me for make up, hair or both for your wedding day, for the bride and any members of the bridal party.  Dependent upon on the number of people requiring my services on the day, I may bring along an experienced assistant for which there will be an additional fee of £95, which will be confirmed to you at the time of enquiry.  Ordinarily, the maximum number of services I can carry out on the wedding day is 6; i.e. 6 x make up or 6 x hair or a combination of the two.

Is there a minimum number of people required on the wedding day;

I'd love to be a valued addition to your special day.  With such high demand for weekends and bank holidays, I have to disappoint many brides, as I simply cannot be in more than one place at a time and I only do one wedding per day.  With this in mind, I have a minimum booking amount of £350 (excluding travel costs).  I do hope that your bridesmaids/relatives may be interested in my services for hair and make up too.

I can facilitate bride only packages pending dates booked and timeline scheduling, however for any solo client bookings that can be accommodated, you will be worked in before or after all main wedding bookings.

Do you offer the option to stay with me throughout the day and before the evening?

Yes of course.  I would be happy to provide you with further information on staying with you and for evening reception services, should you wish to change your look.

Do you travel?

Yes, absolutely! For my UK clients, travel costs are to be covered by yourself, including parking fees; 50 pence per mile after 10 miles from HU5 by car.  For trains or airfares, these will be agreed with you prior to the travel being arranged.

What products do you use?

I use a wide variety of brands and happy to confirm that I am not endorsed by a specific brand, therefore, free to use anything.  As an example, Yves St Laurent, Mac, Bobbi Brown, Urban Decay, Chanel, Illamasqua and several trade brands.

How do I book you?

You will received a contract by email for your signature which is to be returned by post or electronically, together with your booking fee of £75.  The booking fee can be paid by cash, cheque or by bank transfer (details available on request) and this fee is deducted from the final balance.   I am unable to hold any dates in my diary without your booking fee.

A receipt is then sent to you and I will be in touch to arrange your trial.

What happens at the trial?

I recommend that we get together around 10/12 weeks prior to your wedding date for your trial which is carried out at my home studio in HU5.  Appointments are carried out during the week between 10am and 5pm. Weekend appointments are only available when I do not have a wedding that day.  You are encouraged to bring along pictures and ideas for your styling, together with any head dress or veil you would like to use for your hair styling trial.

The trial appointment can last between one and half (make up or hair only) and three hours (make up and hair). 

You are welcome to bring along a friend or relative to this appointment whom I can comfortably fit into my studio, it is entirely up to you if you come along with or without wearing your own make up.

When do I pay?

At the trial, 50% of the full booking cost is required within 7 days of the appointment and the final balance, taking into account the booking fee and 50% balancing payment, is due 1 month before the wedding day.

What to expect on the wedding day;

I will travel to you, where you will be in the comfort of your own surroundings for your bridal preparations.  It would be most helpful to have a high backed chair for your comfort, a table for my equipment and an area where natural light is available.

I normally suggest to my brides that you have at least one hour before you leave for the ceremony which will give you plenty of time to dress and have any pictures taken.  Of course we will discuss the timeline of the morning 2 weeks before the wedding day therefore, everyone will know their allocated time slot.

I recommend that you buy a couple of products for touch ups on the wedding day, such as a lipstick or powder and I can of course, advise you on this at your trial.

What are your cancellation procedures;

The booking fee is non refundable under any circumstance and regardless of the date on which you cancel.

If cancellation is between the trial and 2 months before the event date, any monies already received will not be refunded.  If the request to cancel is less than 2 months prior to the Event Date, you will be charged the full and final balance as per the booking form. 

What if you are ill?

In the unlikely event that I have any unforeseeable reason, or experience an unavoidable situation (example: injury or severe illness, urgent family emergency etc.) that render me unable to fulfill my obligations, I will arrange for an equally qualified Makeup Artist/Hair Stylist to complete the agreed upon services for the same agreed upon terms of payment.  If I am unable to find a replacement artist, a full refund (including the booking fee) is provided.
