How do I contact you about my Destination Wedding?

What services do you offer for destination weddings;

I work with brides, bridesmaids, mothers of the bride or groom or any combination of the aforementioned.

Generally, I can carry out up to 6 individual sessions on the wedding day.  This could be 6 makeup, 6 hair or a combination of the two.  If it is a large party booking I may bring along an experienced assistant, there will be an additional fee which would be discussed with you at the time of enquiry then confirmed when booking. 

Is there a minimum number of people required on the wedding day;

There is a minimum booking amount for my destination clients, as I will be on location and this will be confirmed within the initial costings following your enquiry.

Do you offer the option to stay with me throughout the day and before the evening?

Yes of course.  I would be happy to provide you with further information on staying with you and for evening reception services, should you wish to change your look.

What products do you use?

Ensuring that your make up and hair stay picture perfect whilst in a hot country, it absolutely paramount.  I use a wide variety of brands and happy to confirm that I am not endorsed by a specific brand, therefore, free to use anything.  As an example, Yves St Laurent, Mac, Bobbi Brown, Urban Decay, Chanel, Illamasqua and several trade brands which are suitable for all skin types and ethnicity. 

How do I book you?

You will received a contract by email for your signature which is to be returned by post or electronically, together with your booking fee which will be confirmed within the initial costings.  The booking fee can be paid by cheque, paypal (additional 4.5% fee applies) or by bank transfer (details available on request) and this fee is deducted from the final balance.   I am unable to hold any dates in my diary without your booking fee.

Confirmation is then issued to you by email and the date secured in my diary.

What happens next?

If you are based in the UK and would like a trial, I recommend that we get together around 10/12 weeks prior to your wedding date which is carried out at my home studio in HU5.  Appointments are carried out during the week between 10am and 5pm. Weekend appointments are only available when I do not have a wedding that day.  You are encouraged to bring along pictures and ideas for your styling, together with any head dress or veil you would like to use for your hair styling trial.  The trial appointment can last between one and half (make up or hair only) and three hours (make up and hair). 

You are welcome to bring along a friend or relative to this appointment whom I can comfortably fit into my studio, it is entirely up to you if you come along with or without wearing your own make up.

If we are unable to meet in person, this is absolutely no problem.  I recommend that we have a Skype conversation to ‘meet’ one another.  That way we can get to know each other and to discuss your requirements in detail.  This is not unusual for my destination clients, as they are mainly based outside of the UK.  I encourage you to keep in touch at every step sharing ideas and also if I can assist with any information on the local area.

When do I pay?

If a trial is carried out, 50% of the full booking cost is required within 7 days of the appointment and the final balance, taking into account the booking fee and 50% balancing payment, is due 1 month before the wedding day.  If we do not have a trial, the full and final balance taking into account the booking fee is due 1 month before the wedding day.

What to expect on the wedding day;

I will travel to you, where you will be in the comfort of your own surroundings for your bridal preparations.  It would be most helpful to have a high backed chair for your comfort, a table for my equipment and an area where natural light is available.

I normally suggest to my brides that you have at least one hour before you leave for the ceremony which will give you plenty of time to dress and have any pictures taken.  Of course we will discuss the timeline of the morning 2 weeks before the wedding day therefore, everyone will know their allocated time slot.

I recommend that you buy a couple of products for touch ups on the wedding day, such as a lipstick or powder and I can of course, advise you on this at your trial.

What are your cancellation procedures;

The booking fee is non refundable under any circumstance and regardless of the date on which you cancel.

If cancellation is between the trial and 2 months before the event date, any monies already received will not be refunded.  If the request to cancel is less than 2 months prior to the event date, you will be charged the full and final balance as per the booking form. 

What if you are ill or unable to attend due to travel issues?

In the unlikely event that I have any unforeseeable reason, or experience an unavoidable situation (example: injury or severe illness, urgent family emergency etc.) that render me unable to fulfill my obligations, I will arrange for an equally qualified Makeup Artist/Hair Stylist to complete the agreed upon services for the same agreed upon terms of payment.  If I am unable to find a replacement artist, a full refund (including the booking fee) is provided.
